Yep, it’s true: Samsung is planning to release a phone that’s completely bendable. And rumor has it you can get your hands on it as early as next year!
Flexible e-ink displays have been in development for nearly half a decade, but it’s only recently that researchers for companies like Samsung and Nokia have turned to Organic LEDs to provide a bright, full-color and flexible solution.
Obviously, it’ll be awesome to have smartphones that can’t be snapped or broken. But this kind of technology also has the potential to bring screens to many places we couldn’t have imagined. Think clothing, posters, certain tools, even furniture!
